As part of the City of Gainesville’s ongoing downtown revitalization, our team led the landscape transformation of Roosevelt Square—an important civic space surrounding the historic courthouse and Gainesville Administration Building. The project included the installation of new sod, plant beds, and trees to enhance green space, as well as a comprehensive hardscape upgrade with retaining walls and a mix of stone and brick pavers throughout.

A new drainage system was added beneath the brick courtyard to ensure long-term durability and usability, while a wave-patterned paver design was installed beneath the dragon sculpture to create a striking visual anchor. The statue itself is now framed by intentional, artful landscaping that complements the surrounding architecture and public art.

The result is a welcoming, multi-functional space that reflects Gainesville’s heritage while supporting its future.
