FROM SWAMP TO SANCTUARY

Our client envisioned a usable and beautiful backyard, perfect for hosting gatherings and relaxing; however, their existing space was overly-shaded, overgrown, and swampy.

Removing trees and stumps allowed for more sunlight to reach the yard. Regrading and reshaping the land addressed drainage issues and allowed us to create elevated landscape beds, designed with a variety of trees and shrubs. Stacked stone steps and walls added a touch of rustic charm, while the expanded flagstone area now provides ample space for entertaining. A wood-burning stone fire pit became the heart of the space, perfect for the updated outdoor cooking space.

Large flagstone steps were built on the right side of the house, ensuring effortless access to the backyard. The existing retaining wall was upgraded with stacked stone and a distinctive star pattern, adding another layer of visual interest. Installing lush fescue sod tied the entire space together to complete the transformation.
